Pikol — Pickleball Scorekeeping App | Last updated: August 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Pikol (“the App”) handles information when you use it on your mobile device. By using Pikol, you agree to the practices described below.
Pikol does not require an account, login, or any personal information to play. All game data (scores, player names, session history, settings) is stored locally on your device by default and is never transmitted to our servers just to play a game.
Signing in is only required if you choose to subscribe to Ad-Free or Premium, or restore a subscription on a new device. If you sign in, we collect additional information as described below.
If you choose to sign in with your Google account, we collect your name, email address, and Google account ID via Google Sign-In (Firebase Authentication). This lets your Ad-Free / Premium subscription follow you across devices.
Ad-Free and Premium subscriptions on Android and iOS are purchased and billed through Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment details (card number, billing address). We do store your subscription status and renewal date, linked to your account, in Cloud Firestore so that your access syncs across devices.
On desktop (Windows), Premium can instead be unlocked with a one-time activation code. Redeeming a code sends a device identifier to our own server, which records the code, device identifier, and expiry date in a private Google Sheet.
Pikol generates a device identifier (via device_info_plus) used to
sync subscription status and, on desktop, to activate a redemption code. This
identifier is not derived from your personal contacts, photos, or other apps.
We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and basic diagnostic information (device model, OS version, app version) to help us fix bugs. This data is not linked to your name or email address.
We do not collect:
Pikol displays ads served by Google AdMob. To serve relevant ads, AdMob may collect and use certain information from your device, including:
The App integrates the following third-party SDKs. Each has its own privacy policy:
Game history, player names, open play sessions, and settings are stored locally on your device using local storage (Hive) and are not transmitted anywhere. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes this local data.
If you sign in, your account profile and subscription status are additionally stored in Cloud Firestore, tied to your Google account, so they can be restored on other devices. This account data is retained until you request deletion (see Section 5).
Pikol is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
